BT Broadband Option 1 may not be the cheapest 8mb broadband offer on the market, however it does includes a free digital tv recorder and the BT home hub.

The package has a 5gb download limit, which is ample for the average user who just wants to use email and surf the web quickly and cheaply. It's fine for downloading music and a moderate amount of video clips. It also 5 free email addresses and award winning security features.

If you're into online gaming or downloading regular movies/tv shows, it's worth considering BT option 2 and 3, which have larger download limits. BT Broadband is Mac compatible.
