Tiscali Broadband Review
I have no issues with the broadband or support. The speed is good, it is reliable and on the odd occassion that I have had to contact the support they have been excellent. My beef is that they have changed my billing date, bringing it forward with no warning to myself. This is surely illegal as I am contracted to pay per month and on that month they did not provide the service for the full month. They will not budge on this and although it is fairly minor, I find it extremely irritating.

absolute garbage ive spent hours in time and money on phones,and im getting 16kb/sec please,PLEASE dont sign u[ with these robbers...

omg tiscali is really amazing if you want your upload faster than your download i made the error of going with tiscali and even after they reduced my internet to £10 a month unlimited (after i complained that my old 2 meg was better than this) its still a bad deal here are some facts 38kb/s download 41kb/s upload (on a 8 meg connection) these are what i get on average i am sure they are messing with tricks to fool speed test sites as ive had some strange results hitting over 90 megs/s on one test but my feelign is im getting half a meg down and up what ever you do dont sign a contract with them i never and im moving

What a load of attrocious rubbish...
'Up to 8mbps' for only £15 a month! What a bargain! I think not. I wish I'd stayed with Tesco Broadband 512kbps broadband for £18 a month because the connection was at least reliable and constant. I cant stress how angry Tiscali broadband has made me. I very rarely manage to pluck up enough bandwidth to play any BBC iPlayer programme without stopping every 2 seconds to buffer. Ive ran so many speed tests and never been above 3mbps, usually its down below 2mbps but Ive achieved speeds of as low as 80kbps... Dial-up was almost as fast! Speed is the biggest issue for me, but connection drops are so frequent and have happened nearly every day since we signed up almost 2 years ago. Some connection drops last for hours on end. I would recommend ANYBODY who is thinking of joining Tiscali to refrain from doing so - it will only bring endless misery and teeth grinding moments to your broadband experience.

Poor customer service, appalling speed and reliability. Technical support takes 3-4 weeks to sort out technical faults. calls to technical support are charged at 10p/min and takes hours before some one will help (if they charge 10p/min why answer quickly). technical engineers dont keep any appointments and can wreck your computer, I have had bad experiences. I was with tiscali for 3 yrs and switched last week and will never ever sign up with them again.

Tiscali Broadband Review
I dont know how to express my situation which created by Tiscali. They harrassed me the maximum. Tiscali offer me lot of facilities and disconnected my line from BT, after o correspondence, they not even give a satisfactory answer. there custmer care is high paid number and no reply for long time. i stayed without land line for 2 months,my old aged parents in abroad can also not able to contact me. now i am asking the compansation. so ear friends please dont go for Tiscali.

Tiscali Broadband Review
I cannot express how frustrated i am with Tiscali. We had them in our old flat for about 9 months. The service kept going down and costing us a fortune to call their 0870 service line. When we moved they accidentally cancelled our broadband & could not reconnect. It's taken about 10 calls to try to close off the account and we're still not there! DO NOT USE THEM!!! I wish i could put in zero for customer support.

Been with tiscali just a year now, and arrived at this site as I am looking to change. Speeds have been reasonable but my internet connection regurlarly drops for 20mins or so, perhaps 5 times a week. Customer service is difficult to contact and you have to pay for the priviledge!

Whilst fine for general users, Tiscali are genuinely useless for gaming. Their "fair usage policy" results in gamers getting massive latencies (1000ms+) during peak hours, which is weekdays 5 till 11 and throughout the weekend. In short: good for browsing, bad for gaming.

Tiscali High Level Complaints - 01438 76 5494
Oh, and get the name of the person at High Level Complaints that you're talking to, then you can email them too - they will reply, which is more than other Tiscali departments do (other than a form acknowledgement, if you're lucky). The persons email address will be firstname.lastname@uk.tiscali.com I can't praise Tiscali High Level Complaints in Stevenage enough - and it's a cheaper 'phone number - 01438 76 5494 Tiscali "Customer Support" were driving me mad but Stevenage sorted things immediately.

Homechoice
I was an early adopter of Homechoice (I got telly and internet up my DSL line) and was happy with them - the only occasion that I needed service was when the box died (a common fault with early boxes as they got extremely hot) and they got a replacement to me quite quickly and the man-in-the-van was very helpful. Then they were bought by Tiscali.... I've just had an identical problem and it's taken ten days to get it sorted out. You phone Customer Support in Glasgow on that expensive 0871 number to be told that Homechoice boxes are no longer available and you need to be "migrated to the new platform" which takes a couple of weeks! Surely there must be boxes available from customers that have already been migrated - "no, none", you are told. In other words, you're talking to some droid who is reading all this off a screen. To solve my problem I phoned Tiscali High Level Complaints in Stevenage (01438 76 5494) who saved the day and had one posted to me which arrived the next day. So Tiscali Customer Support - 0, Tiscali High Level Complaints - 100% I recommend them to anyone suffering Tiscali problems. Oh, and I then bumped into a Tiscali-man-in-a-van in my street - "do you have any Homechoice boxes in your van?" - oh, yes he did....

Superfast I don't think!!
Speed is slower than my old dial up and customer service may as well be non existant. Avoid at all costs.

Awful
I've had Tiscali they were my first ISP, I wish I'd reseached better instead of going for the cheapest. I was on the 2mb package and they never throttled bandwith in peak hours or if they did you didn't really notice it, until around 3 months ago that is they installed traffic shaping (throttleing) software on their servers. Now the speed is like dial up or less from around 4pm until 2 or 3am and is rubbish all day Saturday. Also you will soon rack up a big phone bill ringing their cust/tech support on the 0871 number as you usually are waiting some 25 to 45 mins to speak to someone, and then you don't get a solution or a proper answer and contact by email is a joke as well!

Hopeless
It is hopeless, I've had nothing but trouble with Tiscali, on average after 5.00pm until early morning i have speeds just above dial up and I'm not joking. Sometimes it can take up to 2 hours downloading a simple file and as for watching tv online or video forget it. It really gets so annoying. I sometimes cannot get online at all, I don't know how many times and it can stay off for hours. I have rung up tech support many times which has cost me a fortune in telephone bills but you can't seem to get through to there mind set at all. I have been accused of swearing and all sorts at them and I don't even swear at anytime, they just don't listen. Thanks for the chance at aring my grievence because they are not listening and I would tell everyone considering Tiscali to steer well clear!
