Speeds have been ok though not as fast as advertised. Coverage has been good though so I’m reasonably happy with service.

I travel to lots of rural areas have had decent coverage in almost all of them with T-Mobile. The connection varies in speed but the time and convenience of having broadband anywhere is great for me. It’s obviously not as fast as traditional broadband but I guess it’s a new technology and that will come in time.

So much better than getting mobile on your mobile phone. Admittedly not as fast as my Virgin cable home connection but great for working away from home.

had this at the end of 2007, speeds were a constant 1.2mbs for a few months and stared declining fast, by march speed were sub 500, by june they were around 100k and now in the evenings speeds can be as low as 7kbps, yeah about 8 times slower than a 56k modem. i live a few 100 metres from t-mobile phone mast and receive an average of 93% reception quality. complete waste of money. works ok from about 3am to 6am, but any other time, its useless.

With a four bar reception, it took 57mins to watch a 59sec clip on youtube last night. Fastest speed I’ve seen is about 200k about 2am, but at normal hours, its useless. keep clear, I’ve got to pay for this rubbish for another 15 months. I’ve had web pages taking over 30mins to display. Takes u back to the old 14.4k/28k times. If you think that is a good thing, sign up, you will love it

  7. Simply awful - steer clear

Web ‘n’ Walk 10 GB: incredibly slow to the point of not being able to get much done at all. Trying to attach a file to an email takes so long I have to give up and admit defeat. I’m routinely experiencing speeds of 2.2 kbps in the evening, making it virtually impossible to view videos. As I write (in the early afternoon) my connection speed is hovering between 0.99-1.18 kbps, with 97% signal strength. This is nothing like as advertised. T-Mobile even had the cheek to charge me over a pound for responding to 11 (yes, 11) separate unsolicited customer satisfaction texts when I first installed the software. I did eventually get a refund after going instore to sort it out, but that was a hassle I didn’t need. The assistant was really friendly and helpful, which is the only reason why I gave any stars at all.

One important thing to bear in mind is that this service is advertised as mobile broadband when in fact it is dial-up - a case for Trading Standards? That might give me and others a way out of the lengthy contract at the very least. I would strongly advise against signing up to this so-called broadband service, it’s an absolute waste of money and I feel downright conned.
