Don’t bother with this provider as it provides very little as internet speed. 32kbps is no use…my pay and go phone is faster than my computer. I really thought that the Post Office would have provided a better service. I’m very much mistaken.

Terrible..aviod aviod.
Up to 3 hrs on hold for customer service. On other occasions minimum 1hr wait. When you do get through the person seems to have limited ability to help. I had billing issues that took 3 months and multiple phone calls to sort out.

Rubbish

It went from OK (200kb/s) to reasonable (150kb/s) to plain rubbish (70kb/s). That was the first time. We called them repeatedly until eventually they sent someone out to help us - that was a waste of time. The same thing is happening all over again. Fast, to slow, to slower. Stay away.

Completely terrible. It took ages to get through to their customer support, and when I did get through they weren’t helpful at all. In some cases they told me they would ring me back and they didn’t. I’m on the 8MB pack and after the first week I went from 8MB to 6MB to 2MB to 1MB and right now I’m currently on 0.20MB… I’m not exactly a happy bunny.

I recently worked for the post office, its a great company with good staff. For those who complain about the speed the p.o. does not use LLU (where the company uses their own equipment in the bt exchange) so you have the standard speed of a bt line regardless of who you go to. the connection i have 2mbps isn’t great, but that due to where i live, but the connection has never dropped or been cut off and the netgear router is a good model.
It may not be the cheapest package however it does offer value for money

Simple but Slow
Reviewed by
Spencer McQueen on Sunday, November 11th, 2007
I went for post office broadband because it was advertised as simple to set up and use and I have to say it was. I had it up and running very quickly. Though the connection has been reliable the speeds have been slow. I’m on the 8Mb package and usually only get speeds between 1mb and 2mb. I’ve spoken to customer support and they’ve not been able to do anything to increase my speed, so all in all I’m a little disappointed.
