    I travel on business regularly so signed up for the Orange moble broadband service. It’s been great getting online wherver I am and coverage has been good but speeds are mostly really slow. I’d say it’s fine for web surfing and emailing but not really suited to heavy downloading. It can struggle when I open large attachments from emails.

    I was using BT internet dialup for years and decided to take on an Orange 18month mobile broadband contract.
    I have to say that value for money and ease of use is excellent. I use the internet for emails, browsing and shopping and Orange mobile broadband is ideal and fast enough.
    Forgot to mention - very easy to use, just plug and play.

    I purchased a mobile internet connection from Orange and have to say that i’m chuffed to bits with it. It’s perfect for me whilst away from the office. Perfect for email, reading and editing MS docs etc.

    I have to say that I am hugely disappointed with just about every
    aspect of this product. The 3G connection with always cut to local
    access only after a few minutes. This seems to happen whether or
    not there is a decent signal.
    Apparently, this has something to do with incapability problem
    with Vista operating system. I’ve wasted God knows how much
    money talking to customer services trying to get this resolved, but
    nobody seems to know the answer.
    EDGE/GPRS does work but it’s painfully slow and downloads at the
    speed of a poor dial-up connection.
    I don’t think it’s going to be very long before I cancel it. My advice
    is that if you’re using Vista then steer very clear of this.

    Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Hit and miss connection too and sloooooow.

    I recently signed up for Orange mobile BB at the same time as renewing my phone contract. I wish I had waited instead of upgrading early. After 2 weeks I had a message saying the service in my area had been improved. Since then my phone will only work in the kitchen, never gets a 3g signal, the mobile BB speeds are slow at best and pathetic at worst. It shows UMTS / HSDPA signal strength but drops to GPRS on connection and then the line will drop on a regular basis. The dongle only gets a decent signal (enough for GPRS) when stuck to the kitchen window and connected to the laptop via a 10 foot USB extension. I may as well plug into a phone line - at least I’d have a decent connection. Average download speed over the last month is 0.21 Mb/s and upload 0.1 Mb/s. Worse than the earliest net connection I ever had with 4.8 mb/s dial up modem

    Very very disappointing.

    I honestly believe that this is an appallingly bad product with lots of disadvantages and in short a complete Rip-Off.

    Orange promise a lot with a catchy name like Internet Everywhere, however due to the dire speeds it is really Internet nowhere. It is awful. It is far, far slower than 56K dial up, so slow that I cannot even update the anti-virus software as it times out.

    The Orange Customer Service is also very poor and to add to your frustration they are only available on an Orange mobile telephone number with a massive waiting time. They admit the failings but say that there is nothing they can do about it and that I am locked into a contract with them.

    Pass the message along to anyone looking for broadband to avoid this dire product and hopefully then Orange will withdraw this overpriced and under performing product. Happy Christmas to everyone!

    got this orangemobile broadband the first coupleof months normal rate after that i was not using inclusive allowance and they were charging me £30 a month on top which is wrong.speed is very slow even with the best signal.
    stay well clear of it
