Very Impressed
Reviewed by David Bush on February 12th (from Islington)
O2 broadband is fantastic. It’s been great for online gaming with good upload speeds in addition to the impressive download speeds. I love the text messages that take you though the set up step by step - I had the connection up and running in no time. O2 are miles better than the last 2 ISPs I’ve been with and I can’t see myself switching to anyone else, they get top marks from me.

02 have been great. Set up was quick and easy, call centre was helpful and the connection has been very fast and very reliable. A huge improvement having switched from BT. So far so good. Thanks 02.
Thanks O2

2nd class customers

I was intending to go with O2’s £7.50 when I realised that because I am a 2nd class customer i.e. Pay & Go I would have to commit to £10 every 3 months top up. As I am a low user I feel that they are penalising me even though I have not been with any other provider, in July 2007 I had £60 credit and still have £29, they have had the money and interest, I have not used fully the money I put on. It is about time O2 treated all “customers” the same and rewarded loyalty.
Well done O2

After many years with orange I took the plunge and changed to O2.Absolutely fantastic, they actually did everything they promised and made the switch so easy.Their customer service is out of this world. As I have an O2 mobile they give a good discount and at £7.50 a month it is a bargain.Well done O2.
O2 - does what it says on the tin!

O2 are (one and a half days in!) far and away the best ISP I have experienced so far - and I’ve used several - most recently Pipex, whose customer service has been appalling. I signed up for Standard - up to 8Meg, which is plenty fast enough for my needs. The set up was really straightforward - and I have quite a complex home network, which the O2 box recognised and set up automatically. I didn’t use the set-up disk, and the only thing to be manually configured was the SMTP setting in my mail client. I had to contact customer support over a minor matter, and they were excellent. I’m getting almost 6Mb download and 1Mb upload, which is three times what I got with Pipex on standard ADSL, for one third of the cost. Brilliant, and thoroughly recommended.
SPOT ON

O2 CUSTOMER SERVICE ARE ONE OF THE BEST I’VE DEALT WITH. I SIGNED UP FOR THE 16MEG SERVICE THE LINE COULD NOT ACHIEVE THIS SPEED SO THEY DROPPED ME DOWN TO THE 8MEG AM STILL HAPPY COS ITS STILL TWICE AS FAST AS BT AND AT ONLY £7.5O 3 TIMES AS CHEAP CONGRATULATIONS O2 I THINK YOU’VE GOT IT RIGHT.
Happy with O2

O2 is my first broadband provider. Value for Money: It’s great value for money, especially if you’re an exisiting O2 pay and go customer. You just need to top up £10 every three months to keep the discounted rate going. Speed: Speeds are very good. They test your line for the first ten days after being connected where they send the fastest possible signal through - I synched at over 17Mbps before falling in time to 7Mbps - in line with the ‘upto 8Mbps’ package I had selected. O2 uses the ADSL2+ network used by Be, which about 2/3 of the UK can get and its faster than normal ADSL broadband. Customer Service: Customer service is free and UK based. Reliability: It took me under 30 minutes to set the broadband equipment provided up - just put the CD-ROM in and followed the instructions! All the router settings are done automatically. Did have one short outage of broadband, customer service said it was an exchange based problem (got through to customer service without waiting in a queue!)
Very good service

The customer support I’ve received is second to none and the speed of the connection I get is spot on. The only problem I had has been with O2 having problems with their DNS servers at one point. Compared to my previous ISP (Tiscal) O2 are in a different league.
