Peak time covers 15 hours of the day between 9am and midnight. Their system didn’t reset my speed, instead added an extra month to the reset date BEFORE the previous one was up.
Support didn’t read my ticket properly on it after days and immediately closed it without waiting for my feedback on their reply. Unacceptable service.
We chose eclipse 3 years ago due to their good reputation of customer service. We were very happy with them for 2 years. But this year eclipse seemed to have changed their personality. The customer service was unhelpful and rude. It is a lot more difficult to reach them than before. Not only they tricked us into a new 12 months contract, they continued to send us threaten letter for unpaid bill which we paid on time. We will definitely leave them when the 12 months contract is over. I don’t recommend eclipse to anyone unless Eclipse changes their business practice.

The connection crawled all the time and was forever disconnecting.
As we were on an old contract they changed their fair usage policy. Our contract was originally unlimited with just a restriction at peak time between 6pm-midnight. They then changed this to be between 9am-11pm, and recommended doing large downloads after 11pm at night!
Tried to entice us with a more expensive package with restrictions on downloads but with the internet service being so slow and forever going down, we wouldn’t even consider staying.
Customer service takes for ever to answer - 16 mins on the last support call made. They also don’t give a free phone number but we found one to use.
The latest package options they provide are very expensive compared to others and I cant justify the cost based on the service they provided.
We’ve switched to O2 and its a different world now. It is fast and reliable, good price, easy to set-up and excellent customer service.
Search the other providers first before going with Eclipse. They need to improve their act of they want to survive!
Steadily Gone Downhill - looking to switch
providers to somebody who can (a) answer
phones and (b) provide knowledgable support
I have been with Eclipse for 4 yrs and I#ve had no problems at all. Even when we moved the connection was disconnected and connected when stated. The connection is used for both work and home surfing and considering where I live the speeds are great. I would not hesitate to recommend Eclipse to anyone. As someone has already said, if your having problems with connections dropping etc…. change your modem.
I have had trouble free internet for the last 2 years - but when things start to go wrong (dropping connection) its great to easily talk a knowledgable person who can see your connection and help diagnose the problem. They kept checking back and got BT Openreach out to sort the connection problem outside my house. They contiued to keep me on monitoring until I was happy to close the call.
Eclipse used to be really good; I’ve been with them for 3 years and have noticed the level of service and reliability have dropped over the years. My download speed is really slow now and they can’t get to the bottom of the problem. I’m fed up of the connection slowing right down or dropping off. I’m looking to switch to Be, Plusnet or UK Online who seem to perform best from the research I’ve done.
I’ve had a few problems with Eclipse and the speeds have been pretty average but it’s refreshing to speak to good customer service people from the UK who answer calls quickly and are genuinely helpful. I used to be with TalkTalk and where the customer service was a joke and Eclipse is definitely an improvment.
