Awesome is all I can say, I’ve been with Be on their Unlimited package for a year and a half and can honestly say they are the best ISP by far. They are always looking to resolve any issues you have and the speeds are amazing and never throttled etc. I get 17-18mbps on a 24mbps package. You do pay a slight premium over other ISPs but there is a reason for that and that is Be are miles ahead of any ISP on all fronts!

I have now been with BE for nearly two years. I would not pick anyone eles the service is supperb. I live in the Slough area just around the corner from there HQ.
They do not provide broadband to anyone with a line further than 5km from the exchange. Luckily I’m 4.9km away and have still been able to get 2.5mb on my line.
I found everything simple to setup once the line is enabled you just plug in the BeBox and it works no config.
Being so far from the Exchange I have had two connection issues in two years (speed down to 1.2mb and loss of connection). I raised a support case on their website and these issues where dealt with. Once they asked me to call them, I got strait though and talked to someone knowledgeable, problem solved.
This service is monthly running and can be canceled at any time.
Would fully recommend

BE are really excellent - after
experiencing dreadful service (very poor
router amongst other things) from SKY I
changed to BE. You can get through to
customer service straight away, speeds
are very good and if anything goes wrong
they give you money back quickly and
without quarrel. The 9 month contracts
are also great for students.

I’ve been with BE since October of 2008, and now finally getting off their hook in July, 2009.
This has been a total nightmare. The connection was unstable, dropping many times an hour, which caused me to lose hours and hours of work (I work via VPN, and every time BE drops, VPN drops. Takes 15 minutes to reconnect, plus ocassionally I’ve lost data because of the drops)
The problem turned out to be the wireless interface on their router. It’s a systematic problem with the BE router. They’ve known about it all the time, but their worthless tech support kept wasting my time trying to troubleshoot the line.
After months of nightmare, I ended up stretching ethernet accross the floor and shutting off their wireless interface. I can’t wait till I finally get a real provider.
By the way, I’ve opened a dispute with them via CISAS, because they’ve known about the problem, but did not want to admit it, because it would mean that they need to recall all their be boxes. They were hoping that I will eventually stop bothering them if their tech support wastes enough of my time.

I’ve been with Be for 2 years now - speed is phenomenal, and they
even reduced the cost of my package without my having to ask. The
help often doesn’t have wonderful English but is quite determined -
to the point of taking over my computer from their end (with my
permission, of course) to fix a connection problem. This is my 4th
ISP and by miles the best.

Never had unscheduled down time. I get a email or text when they update any logged call or to schedule downtime. This normally won’t effect you as it’s at funny hours. I get a text before they take payment off my account as well.
Customer services is very good (not excellent) but very good.
Wish they could give me speeds closer to the 24MB I’m supposed to get. I’m closer to 10MB. Not even 50% of the up to speed advertised and I’m just over 1 mile from the exchange. O well maybe fiber next time.
There are some minor known issues with the SMTP server. For one you need static IP to use the SMTP service otherwise your mail traffic gets blocked.
Can’t fault Be and I have been with them for over 1 year if not closer to 2 years.

switched from Supanet, only then i realised what a difference it made. Be are underrated, and i think under promoted. With a bit more advertising, they can become one of the top 3 broadband providers, as they have a good baseline of speed and value.

Be broadband is ultra fast and very reliable, (I’ve had it 9 months and it’s never gone down once). It’s a shame it’s not available everwhere as I’m moving to Scotland and will most likely have to go back to prehistoric broadband connection from the likes of BT or similar. I can download a full film in a couple of hours and an album in seconds. Not a bad word to say about Be, if you want fast broadband and it’s available in your area, there’s no other other option as far as I’m concerned.

I switched my broadband to Be from Tiscali, yes I pay more but the serivces can’t be compared. I usually get broadband speeds of over 10Mb, the connection has never gone down and it’s great for online gaming. If you want a top notch broadband service you can’t go far wrong with Be - highly recomended and worth the extra cost.
