Vodafone enhances Grant Thorntons client service in £2m deal
It has been announced that a two year contract valued at around 2 million to manage and protect the whole mobile working estate of leading business advisor Grant Thornton UK LLP with Vodafone Secure Remote Access (VSRA) has recently been awarded to Vodafone UK.
Offering easy implementation, VSRA is a highly customizable solution for remote working that provides policy-based access that aligns to the requirements of both the employee and the business and is fully configurable. Grant Thornton will have the ability to provide high-speed data transmission with the enforcing of IT policy for its entire mobile staff, which is enabled by this service.
This solution from Vodafone also gives staff a secure and user-friendly ‘one button’ connection to a number of fixed networks like Wi-Fi, fixed broadband and 3G as well as reducing the complexity and cost of providing mobile staff with support. Over 25 000 individual and 15 000 institutional and corporate clients are regularly met by 3 500 mobile employees that work for Grant Thornton. An easily manageable, cost effective, and enhanced method of allowing staff to work remotely was required by Grant Thornton, with so many of them working from a large number of different locations.
Immediate access of the Grant Thornton International organisation of consulting and accounting companies that are independently owned and managed are made available to its staff. Vodafone was chosen by Grant Thornton after a detailed examination of available solution.
A number of benefits for managing its remote staff were provided to Grant Thornton by the VRSA solution, from a more centralised and comprehensive enforcement platform for its IT security policy to help protect its corporate resources to reporting capabilities specifically tailored to its business.
The National IS Director for Grant Thornton, Greg Swift said “By centralising the management of our mobile network, our staff has another enhanced service delivery tool that further increases our already high client satisfaction.”
