October launch for Inspiron Mini

Mobile communications giant Vodafone has announced the launch of its Dell Inspiron Mini 9 offer, which has built in mobile broadband connectivity.

Officials from the mobile communications giant Vodafone have recently announced that mid-October will see the launch of its new offer, where consumers will be able to get their hands on a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with built in mobile broadband connectivity when they sign up to a contract. Vodafone will be the first UK network operator to offer the Dell device, and it will be made available for free to customers that opt for a twenty four month contract with Vodafone.

Vodafone has stated that the Inspiron Mini will offer mobile broadband customers far more in the way of practicality, ease, and functionality. The compact device will be made available from Vodafone shops as well as its website. The device weighs just over one kilogram, and comes with Bluetooth, a webcam, and an 8.9 inch display.

Because mobile broadband connectivity software is already installed in this device consumers will not need to worry about getting a USB modem. The device also comes with a SIM. One official from Vodafone said that consumers were likely to find this device very useful because it offered convenience and mobility, as well as a large screen “without compromising portability”.

The Chief Executive Officer at Vodafone UK, Nick Read, said: “Customers can now use a single device to log on and access their emails, read the latest news headlines, or update their blog or social networking page as they travel home from work on the train or while they take a break for coffee.”

Vodafone has also recently started selling the Blackberry Bold Smartphone, which is compatible with its mobile broadband service and comes free with a two year Anytime 600 contract at £35 per month.
