Mobile phone giant upgrades wireless network in Manchester
Mobile communications giant, Vodafone, has announced an upgrade to its wireless broadband service in Manchester, which will offer consumers a range of benefits
The mobile communications giant, Vodafone, has recently announced an upgrade to its wireless broadband network in the city of Manchester, and the major upgrade will enable consumers to enjoy a range of benefits. The investment has cost the firm millions of pounds, and will allow consumers to download data far faster, as well as to enjoy far simpler and more structured billing.
Alec Howard, head of PC Connectivity for Vodafone UK, said: “Manchester, along with five other major conurbations, is now the fastest network in UK. We have been heavily investing in the network so that when people are out and about they can get the same wireless experience that they do in the office.”
He added that in addition to offering these benefits to consumers in the city the upgrade via the investment would also be of benefit to businesses and could help to increase business activity in the area. He added: “What’s really important for Manchester is that people travel from all over Britain to do business in Manchester and if they know that the wireless coverage is really good it will drive productivity,”
Subscribers will be able to access the network via their laptops using any of the compatible devices that Vodafone offers. These come in the form of USB modems, USB dongles, or the laptop data card. This new network could offer users speeds rivalling that of wired connections, enabling them to enjoy increased speed and ease whilst out and about.

Vodafone network coverage is really very good in cities like Manchester. People travel from all over Britain to do business in Manchester and if they know that the wireless coverage is really good it will drive productivity.
And of course I think Vodafone achieved it.
