Virgin to use Ideal Homes Show to show off 200Mbps service
It has been announced that the communications and media giant Virgin is set to show off its 200Mbps broadband service at the forthcoming Ideal Homes Show.
Virgin Media is a name that has become synonymous with high speed broadband services, and when it comes to the provision of super-fast broadband Virgin is at the forefront of technology in the UK. Already the communications and media giant has launched a 50Mbps fibre based broadband service, and is set to soon release even faster speeds of up to 100Mbps.
However, Virgin has made it clear that it does not plan to stop there when it comes to providing high speed broadband networks, and is now looking towards its super-fast 200Mbps broadband service. The media giant has announced that it will be showing off its 200Mbps service at the forthcoming Ideal Homes Show, which is set to take place soon.
Virgin Media is connecting Earl’s Court up to its service to show what its super-fast speeds will be able to do, so those attending the Ideal Homes Show will be able to take a glimpse at what the future holds with services from Virgin Media. An official from Virgin stated: “The Ideal Home of the Future presentation will also give a taster of the types of exciting new services Virgin Media is planning to offer, including its next generation TV service using TiVo, as well as the option to move content from TV screens, to computer screens and even to mobile phones.”
He also said: “Ultrafast broadband like our 200Mb service, will enable a whole household to enjoy cutting edge entertainment, not just via computers, but through an array of gadgets all over the home. By pushing the boundaries of broadband in the UK we hope to drive a change in the way Brits enjoy and experience digital entertainment and exciting new services.”
