Virgin Media offers hopes of high speed broadband to Bradford businesses

Feb 12 2010 / By Richard Patterson

Media and broadband giant Virgin Media Business has recently announced that it hopes to provide more opportunities for businesses in the Bradford and Yorkshire areas to tap into higher speed broadband.

Following plans from the communications giant BT to roll out high speed broadband services, a rival provider has announced plans of its own to try and give business users in the Bradford and Yorkshire areas access to higher speed broadband. The challenger to BT is Virgin Media Business, which has said that it will invest in the technology that will enable more businesses in these areas to benefit from higher speed broadband.

The company has stated that business users in the areas will be provided with innovative solutions to help them with their business broadband needs, as well as excellent customer service so that any queries or problems can be sorted out quickly and efficiently. It is hoped that the service and opportunities that businesses in the area could enjoy might help them to get back on their feet after a very difficult couple of years.

The Managing Director of Virgin Media Business stated: “Businesses in Bradford have had a rough ride of late, but as the UK emerges from the recession there is good reason to be positive. The city is known for its resilience and spirit of innovation. Faster and smarter communications has an important role to play in helping businesses to build momentum in 2010.”

He added: “We have big ambitions for Virgin Media Business. But we can only grow if companies like what they see. We want to work with organisations in the area to redefine what’s possible for their business and help them to grasp business opportunities with both hands.”
