Virgin executive bigs up company speed

The chief executive officer at media and communication giant Virgin Media has recently been bigging up the broadband service offered by the company.

In a recent interview the chief executive officer of the media, entertainment, and communications giant Virgin Media spent time bigging up the company, stating that Virgin offers superior speeds, and is the choice of many consumers who are looking for fast and reliable broadband services.

Neil Berkett, the CEO of the company, said that consumers that were looking for faster broadband speeds to enjoy the range of applications and activities that could be performed online these days were increasingly opting for Virgin Media over other Internet service providers. Berkett said that the demand for super-fast broadband services amongst consumers in the UK was continuing to grow, as broadband continued to become a more integral part of everyday life.

He said that Virgin Media currently has over four million broadband customers, and one hundred thousand of them were enjoying high speed broadband of speed that were up to 50Mbps. He added that tens of thousands had gone a step further and signed up to the advanced 100Mbps service from Virgin. Berkett added that it was clear that Virgin was where consumers were heading if they wanted high quality, high speed broadband services.

Berkett said that the award-winning broadband service was becoming more and more popular. Virgin has been named best broadband provider on a number of occasions, and has won a number of awards for its broadband service. Mr Berkett stated: “We are clearly viewed by the market as where you go to if you want superior broadband speeds.”
