Having access to high broadband speeds is massively important to many people so many will be glad to hear that around four million homes now have access to Virgin’s 100Mbps service.

For many people who are signing up to broadband services one of the most important factors along with price is the speed that they are able to get with their connection. For a huge number of people speed is of paramount importance when it comes to their broadband service, as many use their broadband for streaming data and content or playing online games.
Many will therefore be delighted to hear that around four million homes in the UK are now able to get access to the 100Mbps broadband service from entertainment and broadband giant, Virgin Media. The company has said that it is still on track to ensure that the service is available to around thirteen millions homes by the middle of next year.
Jon James, executive director of broadband at Virgin Media, said: “As data consumption rises and consumers grow increasingly reliant on their broadband service, only Virgin Media’s unique network is primed to cater for the UK’s impending data explosion. With four million homes now able to ‘get in the fast lane’ with our 100 Mbps service, the UK is racing up the broadband league tables and we’re delighted to be playing the leading role in boosting the UK’s digital infrastructure.”
The company is also in the throes of trialling superfast broadband with speeds of up to 200Mbps as well as trialling an innovative 1.5Gbps cable service in East London.

Nice advert, very tempting… Unfortunately not all homes even in London are covered, but I have a doubt that even all those who have signed up for this service are reaching max. speeds.
