More than one million households have access to 100Mbps service from Virgin

It has been claimed by the entertainment and media group Virgin Media that its 100Mbps broadband services is now available to more than one million households across the country.

Virgin Media has become well known for the provision of super-fast fibre based broadband services, and the ability to provide these services coupled with the innovative advancements that have been made by Virgin over the years has resulted in a sharp increase in customer numbers, many of whom are keen to enjoy high speed services.

Officials from Virgin Media have now said that its 100Mbps superfast broadband services can be accessed by more than one million households across the country. This high speed service offers speeds that are more than sixteen times faster than the average broadband speed and is said to be the fastest in the country.

More and more people are expressing interest in higher speed broadband services, and this is because there are so many activities that people now use high speed broadband for, such as downloading movies in minutes, online gaming, streaming content, and more.

Virgin Media also continues to rollout out its ambitious plans to provide more and more people with access to higher speed broadband services. The company said that it is still on track to complete the rollout of its next generation service by the middle of next year. One official from the company stated: “When we finish the roll-out of 100Mb across our network, half the country will have access to ultrafast broadband.”
