Is 100Mbps broadband coming to Virgin?
There is speculation that Virgin Media is ready to roll out its long awaited 100Mbps high speed fibre broadband service, with speculation arising from comments made recently by the Prime Minister, David Cameron.

It appears that the Prime Minister, David Cameron, has sparked speculation earlier this week after he was reportedly hinting that the high speed fibre based broadband service of 100Mbps from Virgin Media could be rolled out later in the week. Cameron was speaking at a Confederation of British Industry event earlier in the week.
Over recent years Virgin Media has become well known for being a leading provider in fibre based broadband technology, which boasts super-fast speeds at affordable prices and have proven hugely popular amongst consumers in the areas where the service is available. The company is already said to be looking at 200Mbps speed for the near future, and many of its customer currently enjoy speeds of 50Mbps.
According to reports the provider did not confirm or deny the hints that came from the Prime Minister, who suggested in his speech that the rollout of the 100Mbps service could within a matter of days when he was at the CBI conference. According to reports officials from Virgin Media did say that the company was “excited that we will soon be revealing the details of our new ultra-fast 100Mbps service.”
However, speculation has been further fuelled about the imminent roll out of the 100Mbps fibre based broadband service from Virgin as a result of its new and much talked about advertising campaign for its high speed broadband service, which features no other than Speedy Gonzales, which many officials believe indicates that the service will soon be ready to roll.
