Demand for Virgin ADSL service too high
It has been reported recently that the consumer demand for the ADSL service that has been relaunched by Virgin Media is too high, resulting in delays for those that are hoping to sign up to the service.
According to a recent report many consumers hoping to sign up to the ADSL broadband service that has been relaunched by communications giant Virgin Media are set to face delays because of the sheer number of consumers that are trying to sign up for the service. Virgin offers this ADSL service for those that do not live within its cable area but who want to enjoy a broadband bundle with broadband, television, and telephone services with Virgin Media.
Virgin claims that there has been a surge in demand for the service, with many customers wishing to leave BT and instead take out the Virgin ADSL service thus having to deal with the same provider for their television, phone, and broadband service. However, this is causing massive delays for hundreds of people trying to take up the service. The company has been promoting its relaunched service through August, stating that it offers speeds of up to 20Mbps and its own phone line rental.
An official from the media giant stated in a recent interview: “Since we relaunched our National service with line rental and our Best Speed Promise, we have been overwhelmed with new orders, resulting in a few delays in getting customers on to our superfast ADSL broadband.”
He also stated: “We have now resolved modem stock problems and are working flat out to get customers up and running as soon as possible. We are very sorry for any delays some customers may have faced.”
