Best Buy to demonstrate high speed broadband from Virgin
It has been announced that Virgin Media has partnered with Best Buy, signing a deal that will see Best Buy demonstrating Virgin’s products, including high speed broadband, in outlets across the UK.
Whilst many internet service providers, such as Virgin, offer a range of valuable services such as high speed broadband, it has become vital for ISPs to get the word out with regards to their products, particularly given the high level of competition in the broadband sector. Whilst advertising is one way of doing this many consumers want to see the product in action rather than just hear someone speak about it on a television advertisement.
This is something that Virgin Media has picked up on, and according to recent reports the communications and broadband giant has signed a deal with Best Buy. Under the deal Best Buy will be demonstrating a number of Virgin Media services in retail outlets and centres across the UK, and this will include demonstrations of the provider’s high speed 50Mbps broadband service.
An official from Best Buy said: “Central to creating the fully-connected digital home is the availability of super-fast home broadband. We know that customers want to be able to watch, share and access their entertainment at home and on the go, so I’m confident that together with Virgin Media we’ll help our customers to get the most out of their technology through ultra-fast connection speeds and fantastic content.”
A Virgin Media spokesperson stated: “We’re passionate about bringing new technology and our products to life. Best Buy’s mould-breaking stores will provide a perfect environment in which to do this. Virgin Media’s products and services will feature across the store, giving customers the chance to try before they buy and to get a real idea of the high quality and range of experiences that we can offer.”
