Broadband providers continue to bring out tempting new offers
As competition in the broadband industry gets tougher providers are continuing to try and entice custom with a variety of deals
Broadband in the UK continues to be competitive, and as broadband providers strive to try and stay a step ahead of the competition they are continuing to offer improvements, new deals, and special offers to customers in order to try and get one over on the competition. March has seen a number of announcements made from broadband providers, ranging from everything from extended networks and increased speeds to contract-free broadband services.
Be Broadband, which is owned by O2, has recently announced that it will be extending its network, and this will mean that the service is available to a further two millions lines, with a network coverage increase of fifteen percent. The extension will take the total coverage of Be Broadband to sixty seven percent, and it is hoped that the process will be completed by June of this year.
Another broadband provider, Fast4, has announced the launch of some new deals too, with three new deals on offer that reportedly offer broadband speeds of up to 24MB. The prices start from under ten pounds a month, but it is important for consumers to check the small print, as the cheaper packages offer just 1GBof usage on a monthly basis. The highest priced package is prices at just under twenty five pounds per month.
Another offer that has come to light in March comes from AOL, which is offering a contract-free broadband deal to try and entice customers that are not yet on broadband. Customers will receive up to 8MB for under fifteen pounds a month, and there is no minimum term contract. There is a set up fee of around fifty pounds, but if the service is cancelled within seven days this is refunded.
