One Talk Talk spokesperson mentioned the many vouchers that were available online for consumers to take advantage off, and added that these vouchers offered substantial savings on a wide range of goods, so where was something to suit all needs, from those that wanted money off clothes and electrical items to those looking for a discount on shopping or special deals on eating out.

She stated: “The discounts work in two main ways. Either they’re a voucher that can be printed and taken into the store and handed over when you get to the till, or they are codes that can be used to shop online.” Another industry official added that due to the recession more and more retailers and companies were offering vouchers online to encourage consumers to spend.
