Talk Talk increases speed on Essentials broadband package
Broadband and communications giant Talk Talk has recently boosted the speeds available on its Essentials phone and broadband package, with speeds of up to 24Mbps now available.
With more and more people keen to be able to access higher speed broadband these days many Internet service providers have been increasing the up to speeds on their broadband packages in order to tempt more customers into taking their broadband services with them rather than with a rival Internet service provider. One of the major broadband providers to do this recently is Talk Talk, which has increased the up to speed on its Essentials phone and broadband package.
The Internet provider has boosted the speeds on its Essentials package to up to 24Mbps, whereas the previous maximum speed on the package had been 8Mbps. Both new and existing customers will be able to benefit from the new, higher speeds on this package, which are three times faster than the previous ones.
The price of the Essentials package will remain the same, which is great news for customers that want to benefit from higher speeds but don’t want to spend any more money each month. The package comes with free broadband connection as well as unlimited evening and weekend calls to UK landlines and a 40GB download allowance.
Another change that the Internet service provider is making is the removal of P2P traffic shaping for customers that are on its Talk Talk Pro Broadband package, which is designed for those that download a lot of data and for online gamers. This package is priced at £14.99 per month and offers unlimited downloads as well as speeds of up to 24Mbps.
