Superfast broadband exchanges come to Middlesbrough

It has been revealed that sixteen new super fast broadband exchanges are to be built across Middlesbrough, which will provide businesses and consumers in the area with the chance to enjoy high speed broadband services.

According to recent reports businesses and residents in the Middlesbrough area are set to enjoy the benefits of superfast broadband. This comes after the announcement that sixteen superfast broadband exchanges are to be built in the area, giving residents and businesses a huge boost when it comes to their broadband speeds.

The move comes from Talk Talk Business, and an official from the Internet service provider stated: “The rapid increase in our number of super-fast exchanges across Middlesbrough is a major shot in the arm for thousands of local companies which regard ‘business grade’ broadband connectivity as the lifeblood of their business.”

Talk Talk Business recently carried out a study, the results of which showed that around seventy percent of small and medium sized businesses were still using domestic broadband connections rather than business grade broadband connections and services.

Talk Talk added: ““The government may have committed £830million to give every community access to super-fast broadband speeds by 2015, however time is of the essence for local companies which rely on business grade broadband connectivity for performance, productivity and growth.” The company spokesperson added: “We’re committed to accelerating our exchange roll-out across Middlesbrough and the rest of the UK in a bid to spearhead ‘Broadband Britain’ for businesses of any size across any sector.”

Will you or your business benefit from these upgrades?
