Ofcom complaints list topped by Talk Talk
A recent report providing details of communications services complaints has put broadband giant Talk Talk at the top of the complaints list for phone and broadband related complaints.

The broadband and communications industry is one that is rife with complaints, with consumers complaining about all sorts of things from their billing and unexpected charges to customer service levels. The UK’s communications regulator Ofcom has recently released a report relating to complaints, detailing the companies that have received the most complaints correspondence between April and June of this year.
Communications giant Talk Talk was identified as being the provider with the most complaints correspondence in this period, with complaints relating to its phone and broadband services. In the last report of this kind, which was produced by Ofcom last October, Talk Talk also topped the list, but Ofcom said that there had been some improvements this time around.
An official from Talk Talk said: “It’s encouraging that Ofcom’s data demonstrates that, following the Tiscali integration, the service we offer our customers has significantly improved in the last quarter with the number of complaints as a percentage of customers dropping by over 50%. “We’re committed to providing good service alongside our best value and, while we clearly still have lots to do, we’re confident that our customers are beginning to see the benefits of the changes we continue to make.”
When it came to mobile complaints it was network operator 3 that was identified as receiving the most correspondence, and the company said: “We are disappointed by these figures and we will work with Ofcom to better understand what is driving them.”
