January to see broadband provider rebranded

Dec 21 2009 / By Richard Patterson

The New Year will see the broadband and communications provider Tiscali rebranded as Talk Talk following the acquisition of the company earlier this year.

It has been announced that the Tiscali broadband will be no more from January of next year, as it will then be officially rebranded under the Talk Talk name following an acquisition that took place earlier this year. A Talk Talk official confirmed the move recently, and said that the date that had been set for the rebranding was 7th January 2010.

Consumers that are currently customers with Tiscali will be moved over to the Talk Talk brand automatically in the New Year. The changes won’t happen right away, but the move is going to be a gradual one that will take place over the course of the year. The rebranding will take place in January though, so Tiscali will then become known as Talk Talk.

All the monthly bills for Tiscali customers are going to be brought in line with Talk Talk’s pricing to try and avoid any unnecessary complications. The provider has also said that it prefers customers to sign up for bundle deals that include broadband and phone services rather than for broadband alone.

In the meantime Tiscali has posted the answers to some frequently asked questions about the changeover on its website and Talk Talk is in the process of contacting existing Tiscali customers to let them know what to expect. Some officials have said that stand alone broadband packages may actually be cheaper with Talk Talk than they were with Tiscali. However, there is also a suggestion that some customers that want to take the bundle option with Talk Talk will have to pay more for their services than they may have done previously.
