A new report has suggested that over the course of this year around half of Brits will use the Internet to try new things ranging from dating to finding better deals on products and services.

With the rising number of consumers that now have access to higher speed broadband Internet it is not surprising that more and more of us are using the Internet for a wide range of purposes. Recent research indicates that this could be a growing trend, and many of us are planning to utilise our broadband services to the full by using the Internet to try new things as well as to try and save money.

A new report based on research carried out by the Internet service provider Talk Talk has suggested that around fifty percent of Brits will use their Internet service this year to try out new things or to try and save money. Confidence is growing amongst Brits when it comes to using the Internet to try different things, and with the affordability, accessibility, and speed of broadband services all having increased over recent years more of us are now able to enjoy the benefits that broadband services can bring.

According to the data around twenty percent of Brits are hoping to use the Internet to try and find love by accessing online dating services over the course of this year, and a number of online dating firms have confirmed that this is a trend that has been on the increase for the past year or two. A massive two thirds of Brits will be using the Internet to try and find better deals on products and services, which could save them money, and around thirty seven percent will use the internet to manage their finances more effectively.

An official from the ISP stated: “When you ask people how they plan to improve their lives it’s clear that the internet is now a major enabler. When you see that the best deals and money saving techniques are online it emphasises the importance of getting fast broadband to homes, regardless of geography and income.”
