Does Talk Talk walk the walk?
It has recently been revealed by communications regulator Ofcom that Internet service provider Talk Talk has notched up the highest number of complaints from UK broadband and landline customers.

It has been announced by the UK’s communications regulator that Talk Talk has managed to notch up the highest number of complaints from broadband and landline customers in the UK between October 2010 and February of this year, suggesting that Talk Talk can talk the talk but sometimes fails to walk the walk.
During that period Talk Talk is said to have notched up 1.78 complaints per one thousand of its broadband and landline customers. In comparison Virgin Media, which got the least number of complaints, received 0.21 complaints per one thousand customers.
An Ofcom official said: “Ofcom saw a peak in complaints about TalkTalk Group in November 2010, following its investigation into the company for incorrectly billing consumers for cancelled services.” Ofcom also stated: “This is the first of what we intend to develop into a series of quarterly complaints publications. The initial data is relatively limited in scope and we propose to develop the approach over time. This will enable us to publish more detailed data and data for a larger number of providers in due course.”
Mobile phone complaints were also looked at as part of the study and Three UK was listed as the mobile network operators with the highest number of complaints in that period.
