T-Mobile traffic wardens surprise motorists with cash handouts!

T-Mobile has once again proven that its advertising campaigns stand out from the crowd, with the latest one seeing fake traffic wardens handing out cash to surprised motorists.

Many people loved the Royal Wedding ‘House of Love’ spoof advertising campaign that was run by T-Mobile earlier this year. However, the mobile network giant has managed to surpass itself with its latest advertising campaign, which is aimed at raising awareness of the benefits of the new You Fix plan, which allows consumers to fix the amount that they spend each month on calls and texts.

In the advertising campaign bogus traffic wardens who are part of the campaign have been taking to the streets and surprising unsuspecting motorists with bank notes rather than tickets. The traffic wardens are in fact comedians and actors who have been employed by T-Mobile for the job.

Delighted motorists who have been presented with the money were filmed on a hidden camera and whilst there are hundreds of hours of footage, this has been cut down to just a couple of minutes for the ad, which was run for the first time last week. The cameras were used to capture the reactions of the motorists in preparation for the ad.

A T-Mobile official said: “That sinking feeling you get when you return to your car to find a bright yellow parking fine plastered on the window is all too familiar for millions of motorists so we’re hoping to raise a few smiles with our ad and give motorists a surprise they won’t be expecting. We wanted to demonstrate in a fun and engaging way T-Mobile’s new plan, You Fix, which helps customers control their spending and ensure they never get a surprise bill at the end of the month.”
