The results of independent tests that were recently carried out have put the mobile communications giant T-Mobile ahead of its rival mobile broadband providers.

With mobile broadband continuing to enjoy huge success and popularity the competition has become increasingly stiff amongst the variety of leading mobile broadband providers over recent months. Many make claims to be the best provider or choice for one reason or another, but the results of independent tests that were recently carried out have placed T-Mobile, one of the mobile communications giants, ahead of its rival mobile broadband providers.

The results indicated that for the first quarter of this year T- Mobile came out ahead of its competitors for network performance. Tests were carried out by P3 Solutions, and the testing involved analysing the experiences of customers during peak times, and involved users from sixteen cities from around the country. Experiences with all major mobile network operators were assessed as part of the study.

The results found that compared to its closest rival broadband provider T-Mobile offered upload speeds that were forty four percent faster. The communications giant was also found to have the fastest web-browsing speeds when using popular websites that included Google and BBC. The results of the tests showed that the T-Mobile network also showed consistency, which made it more practical for users.

An official from T-Mobile UK stated: “This programme of regular, independent testing is playing a crucial role in helping us improve and shape our Mobile Broadband service. The fact that we have come out top for three quarters in a row shows this approach is yielding real benefits to customers in terms of improved network performance and reliability. This has been achieved at a time of unprecedented growth in the number of our mobile broadband customers, which has driven an increase in total data traffic of more than 300% since mobile broadband hit the market in late 2007.”
