Mobile data roaming costs to be cut by T-Mobile
European mobile data roaming costs are to be cut by eighty percent by communications giant T-Mobile according to a recent report
The mobile communications giant T-Mobile has recently announced that it will be cutting European mobile data roaming costs by eighty percent. The cut is to take effect from next month, and from August the provider will introduce roaming call and text packages according to the report. Mobile broadband use from Europe will plummet from £7.50 per MB to just £1.50 per MB. Also, the cost of sending a text from European destinations will be slashed from forty pence to just twenty five pence.
T-Mobile will also be introducing a range of bundle deals, and this includes packages priced at five, ten, fifteen, twenty and thirty pounds, which will comprise minutes and texts in roaming packages.
The Chief Executive of the provider stated: “This substantial cut in European roaming charges signals our commitment to make mobile use overseas much more affordable and flexible. We have seen a growing demand to access the internet and make calls while travelling outside the UK. We are staying true to our reputation for providing exceptional value by introducing transparent and flexible tariffs for roaming that go a long way to levelling the cost of using your mobile at home and abroad.”
He added: “These latest measures will allow our customers the confidence to use the internet and make calls as they would at home. This is no longer the domain of the prolific business user. Occasional users who have relied on local phone services to call family and friends back home now have the freedom to use their mobiles without fear of the financial consequences.”
