An announcement was recently made by T-Mobile that it will be increasing its marketing spend to 115 million, which is an increase of 15 percent, and the provider said that it will be hitting the market full force in 2009.
T-mobile also said that it hopes to see a 30 percent increase in sales for its contract business even in light of current recession.
The director of sales and customer service at T-Mobile, Gordon Ballantyne said that its marketing had previously pushed “great value and great service,” although more focus will now be placed on different areas like its SIM-only and mobile broadband offers.
Tullo Marshall Warren, MediaCom and Saatchi & Saatchi are the companies that T-Mobile is currently working with.
In a recent comment to a popular news site Ballantyne said “We’ll be spending a lot of time and focus on smart phone technology by supporting, educating and informing customers about its capabilities.”
In an effort to help answer some of the many questions raised by customer regarding their phones the company will now be launching of a new YouTube channel for its customers. The idea behind this new channel will be for people to post any questions they have about their android based phones and other consumers or experts from T-Mobile will send these users video answers.
“The next evolution in T-Mobile’s relationships with its customers,” is the description being given to this new YouTube service that should help to clear up any problems that many customers are experiencing with this new technology.
The main media spend by T-Mobile has been reported at more than £52 million in the last 12 months and its above and below the line marketing spend last year came to more than £100 million.
