Consumers urged to invent a fairy tale ending
Consumers are being encouraged to think of alternative endings for their favourite fairytales as part of a competition that has been launched by communications and broadband giant,Sky.
We all remember our favourite fairytales from when we were younger, and for many these tales still live on through our children and young relatives, as well as in the hearts of the grown ups that are still kids at heart. Now consumers are being given the opportunity to invent their own endings for their favourite fairytales as part of a promotion being run by media and broadband giant Sky.
The promotion is known as the Happily Ever After campaign, and comes following the launch of the provider’s low cost Fairytale broadband bundle, which was unveiled recently. As part of the competition consumers are being asked to come up with an alternative ending for their favourite fairytale in just one hundred and forty characters or less, and those that want to take part can post their entries either on Twitter or through the Sky website.
Sky has managed to get celebrity and singer Sophie Ellis Bextor on board to help with the promotion, and she is encouraging consumers to put forward their entries via her Twitter site. She will also be helping to judge the entries so that the lucky winner can be chosen.
Bextor said: “I’m helping to launch the Happily Ever After competition through my Twitter site. I’m encouraging my followers and others to submit their alternative endings to fairytales that they enjoyed as children.” The winner of the competition will not only get free digital television services and broadband for a year from Sky, but will also be treated to a trip to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Germany.
