Tiscali broadband customers left without email over bank holiday
A recent report has revealed that many Tiscali broadband customers have been left without any email service for around one week, including over the Easter bank holiday.
For many people times like the Easter holidays are great opportunities to take time to get in touch with friends and loved ones by email. However, this is something that many Tiscali broadband customers were unable to do this year, after they were left high and dry without any email service, which caused frustration for many of the broadband customers.
In March of this year there were a couple of similar problems, where broadband customers were left with no email service. However, these problems were put right within a matter of hours, enabling the customers to start sending and receiving emails again. This time around the problem has lasted much longer, with many Tiscali customers being left without email service for nearly a week.
The fact that the problem also lasted over the Easter bank holiday weekend was another blow to customers, many of whom may have wanted to spend some time getting in touch with friends and relations over the email. According to report Tiscali has been trying to resolve the issue for a number of days, and had been investigating the breakdown in email service in the run-up to the Easter bank holiday.
It is thought that the breakdown in email service was connected to the expiry date of one of its domains, Screaming.net, which is hosted through Network Solutions. Officials have said that whilst the broadband provider had been looking into the root of the problem the bank holiday weekend had caused disruption and delays.
