Two new packages to cater for smaller budgets launched by Plusnet
In order to help customers on a tight budget broadband service provider Plusnet has released two new low cost broadband packages that will prove to be of great value.
Two new value products have been released by the UK broadband provider Plusnet as it continues to expand its portfolio of broadband packages for its customers. One of the packages has introduced a tariff that will be based on location but the most significant change will be will the offer of an unlimited access product.
The first of the new packages is the Plusnet Value package and for customers who live in ‘low cost areas’, which means those users who live close to a telephone exchange, the package will be priced at £5.99 per month, which is a great idea but is likely to create more tension with the already underserved users that live in the more rural areas of the UK.
Any customers who live outside these low cost areas will have the price set at £5.99 for the first three months, and after this period the price will rise to £19.99 per month. Included in the Value package is download speeds of up to 8Mbps, a 10GB data allowance, a wireless 4-port router free, 24/7 support and an unlimited number of email addresses.
The second of the new packages is the ‘Plusnet Unlimited’, which will be joining the cap-free group of packages. The package will also offer its customers download speeds of up to 8Mbps, the free router, unlimited email addresses and 24/7 telephone support but also offers users the ability to download data without any restrictions, although this is subject to an 18 month contract being taken out for the package. The price will be £11.99 per month for the first three month and £15.99 per month after this period has ended for the Plusnet Unlimited package.
