PlusNet new broadband network now complete
The new broadband network from PlusNet is now complete, which means that its customers can now be moved over from three separate broadband platforms onto one.

It has been announced that the new broadband network from Internet provider PlusNet is now completed, and this means that the company’s broadband customers, who are currently using three separate broadband platforms, can now all be put onto one platform.
According to reports the new network from PlusNet comprises four 10Gbps hot links, and there are still some being worked on. Over the next six months all customers of the Internet provider will be moved onto the new network, which means that they will have the convenience of all being on one single platform rather than on three different ones.
To start with a small number of customers will be moved onto the broadband network by way of a trial, and this will start before the end of the year. It is hoped that all customers will have been moved onto the new network by the middle of April 2011, and at this point the three old networks or platforms will be completely removed.
There are many benefits for both customers and for the Internet Service Provider when it comes to these new networks. PlusNet said that it would have far greater capacity with the new network, and added that it would also make it far easier for the company to manage the lines. Officials are now wondering whether, if tested in another six months or so, the lines will be any quicker as a result of the new networks.
