It has recently been announced that broadband service provider, Plusnet are not only making it cheaper for it customers to leave but are also reducing their broadband contract lengths from 18 months down to just 12 months.

Plusnet is now offering its customers far more flexibility in terms of cancelling their policy as well as dropping the time that they need to take their contracts out over, which is great for the existing customers and new customers that sign up for Plusnet services.

The CEO of Plusnet Anthony Vollmer said “Moving to shorter commitment periods allows customers so much more flexibility. We want our customers to stay with us because they love our phone and broadband products, not because we have tied them into lengthy contracts.”

As well as offering these great new contract changes Plusnet is also offering what is effectively a no contract broadband plan for its customers as they can now choose to pay for both the hardware and the connection straight away.

As well as offering its customers broadband and home phone bundles and “unlimited broadband” packages Plusnet also offers an up to 8Mbps broadband connection with a 10GB download limit for just £5.99, which is currently the lowest price standalone broadband package available in the UK.

A spokesman for a popular broadband information website said “Many no contract broadband packages charge customers for their set-up and hardware, either when they sign up or when they leave. While this is often much cheaper than paying out the remainder of your contract, make sure you find out the full costs before leaving. If you only have a few months of your contract left, it might be cheaper to see it out,” he advised.
