Consumers can get best value broadband from Plusnet

The launch of low cost services from one Internet service provider means more people can get access to superfast broadband at a price that is affordable.

With a new low when it comes to the cost of superfast broadband consumers can now enjoy getting great value for money on their broadband services. The cost of high speed broadband reached a new low recently with a package being launched at a cost of £16.49 per month.

The Value Fibre package has been launched by Internet provider Plusnet, and offers download speeds of up to 40Mbps according to reports. There is 40GB usage allowance a month with this plan on an eighteen month contract. Consumers can opt to pay an additional fee for the ‘Extra Fibre’ package which comes with 120GB.

The deal appears to be a very good one given that the 40Mbps fibre broadband package from Virgin Media costs twenty five pounds per months, although it is currently available on special offer which reduces the price to £12.50 per month for the first six months. The cheapest broadband package from BT, which is the Infinity Plan, costs eighteen pounds per month. This means that the Plusnet plan is the only comparable one that costs under two hundred pounds a month on a permanent basis. It also uses the same fibre networks as BT does.

An official from Plusnet stated: “Plusnet Fibre is the next generation of broadband and 96 per cent of our trialists say they would recommend the service to friends. This will really benefit households where there are several users.”
