Orange tries to entice mobile broadband customers with Eee PC
Communications giant Orange has launched a tempting offer to try and increase its mobile broadband customer base
Many mobile communications companies have been offering a range of incentives to try and get consumers to sign up to their mobile broadband services over recent months, and the latest to join the rat race is Orange, which has launched a new offer where consumers will be able to get their hands on an Asus Eee 900 PC with a mobile broadband contract for £25 a month.Consumers that sign up for the deal will receive their PC, a dongle, and the Orange Internet Everywhere mobile broadband service, and this package will cost them £25 a month, with a minimum contract period of twenty four months. A plug in option icon 225 modem will be given to subscribers, and the UK data allowance will be 3GB a month.
The offer has been launched by Orange this week, and whilst consumers may be tempted by the offer of the Asus Eee officials have urged them to bear in mind that they will be tied into the contract for twenty four months, which means that they will not be able to switch to a cheaper provider should a better deal come along.
However, Orange officials have said that this is just a taste of things to come, stating that there are bigger and better offers in the pipeline for those that commit to a mobile broadband contract with them. One official from the provider stated: “This launch is just the start, over time we will be expanding our offering even further with more suppliers who are at the forefront of laptop technology”.
