Consumer campaign group Which? has recently released the results of its 2011 broadband satisfaction survey. According to the results some of the big name Internet service providers have managed to make it onto the list of ISPs with the least number of satisfied customers, which shows that going for a big name company doesn’t always mean that you will necessarily get the best service or quality.

Some of the big names that achieved under forty percent in the customer satisfaction tables, and were therefore only awarded two out of five stars for customer service, were AOL, Talk Talk, and Orange. Karoo Broadband also received less than forty percent in terms of customer satisfaction, which is bad news for some people in East Yorkshire as it is the only fixed line service available in some parts of the area.

Thousands of consumers are polled as part of these surveys that are carried out by Which? and a number of factors are selected on which the consumers are able to vote such as speed, quality, and customer service levels. The survey gives consumers an insight into the best and worst provider based on other customers’ experiences and enables them to make a more informed choice over which broadband provider to choose.

Some customers will decide to change their broadband provider on the basis of the results especially if their ISP has scored badly. This is something that could allow them to get better service or better value for money on their broadband.

Will you be changing provider based on the survey results? Let us know with your comments
