Orange to offer free fixed line broadband again

September 1st, 2008 by Rob

Communications giant Orange has announced that it is set to offer free fixed line broadband again to customers signing up to new contracts for £30 a month

According to recent reports the mobile communications giant Orange is set to offer free fixed line broadband to new contract customers that sign up to a £30 a month contract. Customers signing up to Orange will be able to enjoy the basic fixed line broadband package for free. The communications giant is set to focus on marketing the offer over the coming weeks.
The report also indicates that Orange will offer consumers increased download limits with the free fixed line broadband package. Officials from the firm have said that customers will be able to enjoy a much improved service with the free broadband.
One official from Orange said: “We’re seeing huge improvements in the quality of the service. We stopped marketing the service aggressively late last year so we could focus on improving the basics. The difference we’ve made is hugely positive and our customers are telling us so.”

Another Orange official added: The experience we give our broadband customers shows a significant improvement, and whilst we can’t afford to get complacent, it’s fair to say that the service is in better shape than it has been for a number of years. With new customer offers launching on Monday, we should see some real progress following all of that hard work that’s been going on behind the scenes.”

Orange claims that there have been a number of improvements to the service, including improved line stability, faster provisioning speeds, and far fewer service faults. It also claims that customer satisfaction reports are vastly improved compared to twelve months ago as a result of these improvements.
