Mobile broadband tool launched by O2
Mobile network operator O2 has recently launched a new online tool designed to help consumers find out whether their area is suitable for mobile broadband services.

Over the past few years mobile broadband services have become more and more popular, and these days many people, including casual users and business users, rely on mobile broadband services in order to be able to get online whilst they are out and about. This provides flexibility, ease, and convenience for users, and enables them to stay connected without having to be tied to a fixed location.
However, in order to make the most of mobile broadband services consumers need to be using the service in an area that allows for good mobile network coverage, and mobile broadband is run via the mobile networks. In areas where the signal is weak or the coverage is poor consumers will struggle to use the service effectively. It can be difficult for consumers to determine whether their chosen area is suitable for mobile broadband, but a service launched by one of the mobile network giants could help.
A new tool has been launched by the mobile network operator O2, and this is in the form of a web page that allows consumers to enter their postcode and determine the suitability of the area for mobile broadband services. The tool allows consumers to check on the signal strength and the provider’s presence in the postcode area.
An official from O2 said: “We believe it’s essential to provide transparency to both existing and potential customers so that they are able to make informed choices around our products and services.”

I have O2 mobile broadband and it seems to have slowed down in the last few months, I seems like the network can’t handle all the extra capacity smartphone users are putting on it.
