O2 mobile pay as you go customers can now enjoy discounted prices
In a recent announcement O2 has stated that its pay as you go mobile customers can enjoy the same discounted broadband prices as its pay monthly customers
In a recent announcement communications giant O2 has announced that it will be extending its discounted broadband prices to customers that are on a pay as you go mobile service with O2 as well as those that are on a pay monthly contract deal. In the past, those that were on a pay monthly deal enjoyed discounted prices on their broadband, but those on pay as you go and non-O2 services had to pay an extra five pounds per month for their broadband service.
In a service that was launched in the final quarter of last year O2 has been offering three broadband speeds, which are 8MB, 16MB, and 20MB. Officials from O2 state that customers that are on pay as you go mobile services with the provider can now enjoy these broadband packages for £7.50, £10.00, and £15.00 per month respectively, enabling them to enjoy the same prices that are given to pay monthly O2 customers.
However, officials have also pointed out that consumers should bear in mind only “Pay&Go customers topping up a minimum of £10 in the three months before their broadband bill date will be eligible for the new O2 Broadband price points.” Also, consumers that are on non O2 mobile services will still have to pay the additional £5 for their broadband service, which means that they will pay £12.50 for the standard package, £15 for the middle package, and £20 for the top package.
One industry official said that the broadband service offered by O2 proved very good value for some customers stating: “O2 Broadband is very good value for its mobile customers and it’s great that these discounts have now been extended to include pay-as-you-go customers too.”
