O2 enjoys success at broadband awards

It has been announced that the mobile network and broadband provider O2 has enjoy success at recent broadband awards for fixed line and mobile broadband.

The mobile network and broadband provider, O2, has recently enjoyed great success, having come top in the recent JD Power fixed line and mobile broadband customer satisfaction surveys. This is the second year in a row where O2 has enjoyed success with these awards, with the awards being based on a number of factors such as reliability and performance, billing, technical support, customer service, cost, and promotions.

With regards to its fixed line broadband O2 was said to be “performing particularly well in all five factors driving satisfaction”. Having also rated O2 the best with regards to mobile broadband officials from JD Power said “O2 performs particularly well in two factors: customer service/technical support and offerings and promotions.”

It was found that customers are happier with their broadband services when they have been offered some incentive to stay with a provider, and one official from JD Power said: “While many internet service providers offer discounts and rewards when customers initially sign up for or bundle services, incentives for ongoing loyalty have the greatest positive impact on overall satisfaction. Loyalty rewards provide an important and impactful opportunity for ISPs to differentiate themselves, particularly in the increasingly competitive market landscape in which rewards are becoming an expectation among customers.”

Another industry expert stated: “O2’s dedication to customer service has won the ISP a host of awards since it launched both its fixed-line broadband in 2007 and its mobile broadband packages a year later. It offers fast, reliable home broadband with generous fair usage policies, great discounts for existing O2 customers and free, UK-based technical support – making it a great choice, whether you’re a technophobe or a heavy internet user.”
