BT and O2 to offer businesses fixed line broadband services
A new five year deal has recently been signed between BT and O2, which will deliver fixed line business broadband services to customers within their current service area and beyond, as both companies work towards these individual goals of providing a communications link that is both affordable and reliable.
Customers were very positive about the new agreement which will see the entry of O2 into the business communications market and will be underpinned by BT. The designing and managing of service management centres and a loyal portal will now become the responsibility of O2 and it will be involved in all aspects of business communication and its operation.
Classed as a unified solution created to meet all the telecoms demands of businesses the new combined package from O2 should prove to be helpful to the sales and marketing pursuits of businesses. Customers will be offered a combined package that will include a fixed line offering broadband data and a mobile connection. For BT and O2 it means that the operational and administrative expenses have been significantly reduced and for customers, billing and payments have now been made easier.
This partnership has been seen as a positive thing for customers of both O2 and BT in particular by the CEO of O2 UK, Ronan Dunne who said that opportunities have been created with their variety of connections, which are now offered as one package, that allows for a reliable end-to-end service to be offered to their business clients through working with BT wholesale.
He went on to say “We see this deal as an exciting prospect for O2 to widen its range of products for our consumers in the business sector” adding that the unique consultancy that has been known to be provided to consumers by O2 will be included along with the package.
