Broadband speed and customer satisfaction award goes to O2

Communications giant O2 has walked away with an award for fastest broadband service and best customer service levels in a recent annual broadband awards poll.

A broadband group that has recently announced the results of its annual broadband awards survey has announced that the coveted spot for fastest broadband service and best customer service levels has gone to the communications giant O2, which offers average download speeds of 6.128Mbps and enjoys an average customer rating of 3.84 out of 5 when it comes to customers service levels.
Officials have said that the speeds and service offered by O2 has made its packages popular amongst consumers that are looking to stream live video, download songs and movies, and play online games without having to worry about regularly losing connection or having to wait forever for the download to be completed.

A number of categories formed part of the broadband awards, and in order to determine the best in each category and range of factors were looked at with out three hundred thousand speed tests being carried out as part of the process.

BT took the award for the best wireless broadband service, and this was for its BT Home Hub 2.0 wireless router, which supports digital television and doubles the wireless reach of most routers. Another mobile communications giant 3 walked away with the award for the mobile broadband category thanks to the wide range of mobile broadband packages that it offers to consumers.

Other winners included Virgin Media, which won the broadband bundle award, Be for best gaming broadband award, and Vodafone, which won the best student broadband award.
