Namesco supports Get Online Day
Get Online Day was recently announced as a national event, and one Internet Service Provider, Namesco, is supporting this initiative with a special broadband offer.
As part of the Family Learning Festival the launch of National Get Online Day was recently announced, and this is to be run by UK online centres for the remainder of the month. Recent reports have shown that the initiative is being supported by the Internet Service Provider, Namesco, which has launched a special deal for the remainder of this week in order to mark its support for the event.
The ISP is offering a broadband package for just £1, and the package will offer up to 8Mb. The offer is being made available until the end of the week, which is the end of the National Get Online event. The Gold Broadband package from Namesco will cost £1 for the first three months, and then goes up to £14.95 per month thereafter.
Jason Smith, Namesco’s Operations Directors, stated: “We want to show our support of these initiatives and encourage everyone to see that getting online and discovering how the Internet can benefit them, really is that easy”.One of the sponsors of National Get Online Day was the government agency Becta.
Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, has also been supporting the event, and the aim is to encourage the effective and innotive use of broabdand technology and services. The program was also supported by thousands of centres across the country, which will allow consumers to access the Internet and computers. The event is also aimed at showing people how easy it can be to get online and surf the Internet, and the centre will also offer advice and assistance on using the Internet.
