Steve Wozniak Wishes iPhone Could Do All that the Android Does

Here is something the Android lovers would love to hear. There comes out a hard core Android fan. Not from anywhere else, but right from the core team of Apple – its co-founder Steve Wozniak. It made a furor among the Apple circles, when Steve Wozniak said he wishes his iPhone can do all the things his Android does.

The words, when it is from Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs, is simply astonishing because Jobs hated Android and thought that it is just a rip off of Apple.

According to Wozniak, he loves his iPhone for its beauty and simplicity; he loves Android for much of its functionality. This core-man of Apple says that iPhone is something which is meant for guys who are scared of computers and their complexity. But Android, though appear to be a little harder, opens up easier and usable ways once are ready to spend some time on it.

His love for Android first came to light when Wozniak was clicked taking part in a pre-release function of the Galaxy Nexus at Google. Though some theorists found that Andy Rubin who is charge of Android in Google and Steve Wozniak were old friends and colleagues, when Rubin left Apple for Danger where Wozniak was at the board of directors.

However, Steve Wozniak himself has exposed the reasons behind his passion for Android. He thinks voice commands work well with Android than they are in iPhones. In his opinion, Siri, the new buzz word on the iOS platform, is not often very attractive as it was when it existed as a stand-alone app.

Moreover, he finds that Android never came back and asked him to hold on because it cannot connect to internet.

He finds Siri disappointing him very often. “With the iPhone 4 I could press a button and call my wife. Now on the 4S I can only do that when Siri can connect over the Internet”, says he.

Is it an Android conspiracy by planting a hard core fan among the top brass of the rival? Not exactly.

What Wozniak said is just what people who have used both the devices will feel. Moreover, his remarks would have been aired even inside Apple meetings as a drawback which they have to improve. The only difference is that the statements came out public. Well, love for Android is hard to kill, right?
