It has been suggested that a rising number of start up companies in the UK are now utilising the power of the internet in order to cut their costs.

With so many household now having broadband access it comes as no surprise that many companies have now started advertising online, offering their services and products online, and getting involved in huge online marketing campaigns. In fact, a number of industry groups and officials have said that online marketing and sales is something that more and more companies need to get involved in to ensure that they are able to compete with rivals on a national and international level.

It has now emerged that a rising level of start up companies in the UK are now also using the power of the internet in order to save their initial costs, and this is through practices such as downloading cheap software and accessing a variety of resources that will help to kick start their start up business and eventually turn it into a success.

Many of these start up businesses also use low cost online services for their business rather than shelling out for various expensive software applications. The report also went on to show that many small start ups do not even operate out of an office using technology such as WiFi and mobile broadband to operate from a range of other places such as home, local cafes, and other places where they can get access to the internet.

It is thought that many small start up business have been hindered by the banking crisis, which has seen banks refusing to lend to businesses, and for many this has resulted in having to return to basics.
