Mobile phone internet access on the rise
Official figures that were recently released have shown that a rising number of smart phone users are now accessing the Internet on their mobiles.

Being able to access the Internet on an almost constant basis has become increasingly important to many people across the UK and this is reflected in the rising number of people that are now accessing the Internet using their mobile phones, according to recently released figures.
The figures were released by the Office for National Statistics, which claimed that around forty five percent of internet users in the UK had accessed the net through the use of their mobile phones over the past twelve month period. The ONS said that there were now six million more people going online via their smart phones than there were this time last year.
The breakdown of the figures showed that younger people were far more likely to use their mobiles to get online than older people. In the 16-24 age group over seventy percent had used their mobiles to get online. However, in the over 65 age group only seven percent had been accessing the Internet via mobile phones.
The breakdown showed that the level of mobile phone internet users fell with each rising age group. Those using it the most were aged 16-24. Sixty five percent of 25-34 years olds used the technology, forty nine percent of 25-44 year olds, thirty three percent of 45-54 year olds, and just twenty one percent of 55-64 year olds.
