Unlimited data mobile broadband from Carphone Warehouse

Apr 8 2011 / By Richard Patterson

It has been announced that Carphone Warehouse is offering an unlimited data mobile broadband plan, the price of which starts at just twelve pounds per month.

Many people these days use mobile broadband and internet services but are disappointed with the caps that are placed on data allowances on the plans that are available from the variety of mobile broadband network providers. However, this could all change with a plan that has been launched by the Carphone Warehouse.

The ‘never pay for the Internet’ plan is likely to prove popular amongst people that are not happy about having capped data limits and who use their mobile broadband service on a regular basis. Whilst unlimited data plans were common at one point amongst mobile broadband providers many have now placed caps and limits on the plans. There were also arguments that many of the ‘unlimited’ plans that were sold previously were no truly unlimited because they had fair usage policies in place.

The price of the unlimited package starts at just twelve pounds per month and the Carphone Warehouse has said that the plan is unlimited in the true sense of the word because there are no fair usage policies in play. There is no small print to catch users out according to officials from Carphone Warehouse and the plan is designed to simplify things for those that had previously been priced out of the market.

Mark Eastham, UK trading director at Carphone Warehouse, said: “We wanted to offer customers a catch-free data tariff and we’re really looking forward to seeing the results of this trial.”
